Royal 45 Legends is a premium TONEX collection featuring 50 Tone Models captured from three exceptionally rare, museum-grade mid-1960s Marshall® JTM45™ amplifiers. Including an ultra-rare White Tolex JTM45™ originally built for Brian Poole of The Tremeloes, an early White Panel JTM45™, and a later Plexi-era version, these fully original amplifiers represent a defining chapter in British guitar tone.
From edge-of-breakup cleans to classic rock crunch and expressive dirty blues, Royal 45 Legends captures the warmth, harmonic richness, touch sensitivity, and natural sag that made these early British amplifiers legendary.
All Tone Models were captured using period-correct Marshall® cabinets loaded with Celestion® Greenback and early-’60s Celestion® Alnico speakers in Greenback, Alnico, and mixed configurations. Captured through a premium multi-mic studio chain, Royal 45 Legends delivers authentic vintage British tube tone across the TONEX ecosystem.
