VX AC30 6TB
This particular AC30 is a 90’s Korg Era AC30/6 TB with an original Celestion G12M Greenbacks with the "holy grail" 6402 stamps! This amp has also been heavily modded by Don “Toneman” Butler, a Los Angeles area legend. Don equipped this amp with a Mercury Magnetics Axiom transformer and choke, replaced all the signal path components, changed the filtering to JMI specs, upgraded various components and more. This amp is the tone I’ve been chasing in my head for years and is the capture set I keep coming back to.
V1 - My original and "best" captures suited very well for humbuckers
V2 - A second round of captures aimed to capture the magic of V1 but with a much wider range of gain
WRM - Warmer captures intended for single coils
